My goals......

"Arriving at one goal is the starting point to another." We can not aim for another goal if we does not accomplish one. As students, we have different goals in life. When we are young, the question that most of us encountered was "what do you want to be when you grow up?" And that is the goal that we have to work towards to achieve. Once we accomplished that kind of goal, we consider other goals that can make us motivated and can make us develop our visions for the future. But as we grow older, our goals in different aspect of life become more specific.
Now that I’m a college student, improving my vocabularies is one of my goals in my English course. I know that improving my vocabulary more will help me enhance my skills in writing and communicating. And one of the best ways to improve my vocabulary is to read more articles or any reading materials that can contribute to our knowledge. Improving vocabulary can be more fun by playing word games. Games such as scrabble and text twist will encourage our brain to think more words which are unfamiliar. Exercising to learn a new word is a big help to improve our vocabularies.
Communicating effectively is also my main goal. And this goal is connected to my first goal. With an improved vocabulary, I can communicate with people effectively. I can improve my relationship at home, school and in any social situations. This goal needs a self-confidence and knowledge of the basics. And as a BSA major, since accounting is the language of business, it is important to know how to communicate effectively. One of the ways to achieve this goal is to listen and clarify all the ideas in mind. It is also important to be aware of our emotions when interacting to other people.
All in all, setting goals will help us to be more objective and specific. But we should remember that we need to accomplish a goal step by step. It is a process. We can make everything fun as long as all of us are learning. Accomplishing one goal is just a beginning more achievements to come.
