Diagnostic Essay- "17 Again"

Time is gold. It is really important to spend it wisely. And this is what I learned from the movie: 17 Again. I like this movie that’s why I watch it as many times as I want. I love the characters and their roles as I watch it.
“17 Again” was about a boy who fell in love with a girl at an early age. This boy was a varsity player and considered to be the most valuable player. There comes a time that he was so happy that his school offered him a scholarship for college because he was a graduating high school student. But when he will finally grab the big opportunity, he was so shocked when his girlfriend told him that she got pregnant. As a boy, he needed to accept the responsibility of being a father at an early age. They lived together. And the movie goes on. As the movie flows, I got disappointed when their relationship did not work anymore. It was like the boy lost the chance of being a college student and chose a relationship that will not work and accept it for the rest of his life. From this movie, I learned how to prioritize important things. So, when the boy grew older, he had the chance to be back at the time he needed to decide. And I don’t even get the point why he chose to love and stay with her girlfriend again. But when the movie ended, I realized that he chose to stay with her girlfriend to make their relationship work. And I was so surprised with the ending.
In our real life, we need to prioritize things. We can not go back and use a time machine to correct the wrong things that we did. Yes, it can be considered as a lesson but be sure that next time we are going to do the right thing. We need to be responsible with every action and decision that we are going make. “ A man who dares to waste one hour of life has missed the chance o discover life”- this was quoted by Charles Darwin. It was like seconds, minutes, and hours are really important in discovering the true value of life. For example, as a college student, you missed one hour in math. Different topics were discussed and there’s a quiz next meeting. It was a disadvantage for you as a student even though you only missed one hour. But you have the chance to ask your classmates and it is your own responsibility. It’s up to you if you’ll be responsible enough or not. Life is a matter of choice.
